Used lithium batteries are dangerous goods in transit (UN3480 / UN3481). Moving them far is costly, so most are binned.1

02 Our mission // grade, repurpose, redistribute

Grade, repurpose and redistribute.

We grade the cells from discarded batteries, repurpose the ones that pass into battery banks, and redistribute those banks for small-scale integrations: homes, workshops and small sites.

Cells come from the businesses that already handle them: phone and IT repair shops, vape retailers and electronics take-back. They arrive sorted.

We grade in-house and design to the recognised standards for repurposed batteries before anything ships. Riposte Laboratories is a design company. We work locally and return what we build to the community it came from.
